Prayer Resources

PRAYER RESOURCES

The following is a list of some of the resources available for prayer on other internet sites. If you know of any others, please feel free to contact us and tell us about them.

Adopt a Terrorist for Prayer
This site gives photos and brief bios of some of the most well-know terrorists in the world today, and encourages Christians to pray for them specifically. So, why should I pray for a terrorist?
1) God commands us to pray for our enemies.
2) Jesus died for the worst terrorist, just as He died for me. Who am I to say that someone else’s sin is worse in God’s eyes than mine.
3) I believe in justice, and I believe that those who are caught should face earthly justice. However, I dare not invoke heavenly justice, for if I invoke it for the terrorist I must invoke it for myself as well – and that would see me spending eternity in hell.
4) As I read the Bible, Saul of Tarsus was the terrorist of his day. He thought nothing of dragging off men, women and children to face the worst kinds of torture and death available at the time. If God could knock him down, turn him round, and transform him into Paul the apostle – who would eventually give his own life for Christ – then I figure that none of today’s bunch is too big for God to handle.
5) Experience shows that the person who is most passionate against God, when he turns to Him, will be most passionate for the Gospel. Those who are luke-warm in their opposition are generally also luke-warm in their Christian lives.
6) Hate only begets hate – and hate is not just something that lives in the hearts of men, but a spiritual force that influences the whole world.
7) The best way to get rid of an enemy is to make him your friend – or better yet, your brother. Imagine the impact if Osama Bin Laden was given the Saul treatment by God – and ended up being a passionate warrior for Christ.
